Deprivation of a Gamer

Well here I sit w/o a computer. During my dota match with Aw the other day, my computer crashed due to me overusing my RAM. And now here I sit computer and game deprived.

I am now using my PSP to type this entry. It's pretty hard to use but interesting as well. So this is my first entry from the PSP then.

And I also want to thank Marwick, Stephanie Jerika Lewis for their continuous contributions to this blog.

Speaking of games, I'm not really game deprived. I've actually been playing my PlayStation 2 like mad. And I actually am quite not game deprived but deprived all the same. I've completed DMC3: Dante's Awakening and Gauntlet 7 Sorrows recently. DMC3 had a nice storyline.. Sort of. And Gauntlet.. OMFG WORST STORYLINE EVER. Not really satisfying if u ask me. And that sort of explains my game deprivation. I play a game for its storyline to satisfy my insatiable desire... Not just gameplay.

A few days ago there were a few lizards on my food when i went away for a while.. How disgusting @_@. Anyway, when I went shopping at Carrefour lately, there was this hideous music playing and the singer was like aduh aduh aduh aduh hatiiiikuuuuu.. Helo.. Lame much O.O

And I bought a new pair of leather shoes from Sunway. Its black in colour with red linings everywhere. Its sort of the durable type of shoe for safe working... But it looks so cute haha.

A magazine team came to my house a few days ago as well to take pictures of my parents companys products. I wasnt awake to see it.. But quite cool indeed.

Tourist wonderland?

Today was another day spent at the shopping mall again..except today i didnt buy anything at all which is a personal record for myself. Of all places, i had gone to Subang Parade to meet up with another group of my high school friends.Honestly, Subang Parade was an extremely far destination to meet up and chat over coffee but there wasnt much choice since one of them couldnt be away for long.well, it was worth it in the end since i really enjoyed myself though the journey to KTM Subang wasnt a pleasant one at all. firstly, if our government is planning to improve the transportation, they should 1st start off with the uber slow ktm trains that should obviously be upgraded into something that can actually hold up to the name Keretapi Tanah Melayu..quite a snazzy name in my opinion.

well, the confusing transits made everything even worse as i nearly board on the train that would allow me to take away Seremban Siew Paus for my family.the journey there did not get any better as the entire train was packed with immigrants.im no racist actually but it can be rather disturbing at times to see a train filled with foreigners...imagine urself in this situation. i had my fair share of traumatic encounters with foreigners yesterday as i went to klcc by myself for some retail therapy. there was a knot in my stomach as i step infront of the building as there were rows of tourist buses all lined beside the road. somethings gonna be wrong and it definitely did..as i got down from the escalator, i felt like someone had turned off the lights coz there were too many tourists from U.A.E..ok i may sound a little insulting here and i truly respect what they choose to wear but there was just too many for me to take it in at that moment.

ok,choices of clothing aside but things did not get any better as i began to shop. how shall i put this so i do not sound like someone who doesnt welcome tourists.....well, they were really "hyper" when they shopped and handled the goods...and they were physically and shall i say VERBALLY in sync when it comes to shopping.Hopefully with their existance, our Malaysian tourism industry will have something to boast about as they are filthy rich...a stronger word to that will be fucking rich...fuckin rich ahahahahaha.!!!! though clad in black robes, most of them do flash a branded handbag or two, flashy jewelry and not to mention designer scarfs and shoes.

Just based on that, i was rather shocked to see them at Nose...as i thought to myself, they have the money to shop at whatever shoe store....no, rather shoe boutique if they wished to and they have chosen to fight with me..hua hua hua.! i guess they know a good deal when they see one. the enviorment inside was worse as they can be pretty demanding and good in asking questions. i wasnt at peace in looking for a pair of slippers also. the only thing on my mind was...Ya Allah!! i cant take this anymore...Ya Raabii!!, i just want a pair of slippers! when one of them decides to get a little aggresive in the whole process. in the end i came out dissapointed, sad, irritated and most importantly..EMPTY HANDED

The highlight of it all was when i was forced to use the Rm2 toilet as the toilets were packed with people and the lines ended at the front door of almost every toilet available. how insane can the mega sale be? nature's call was something hard to put on hold unlike a phone call or msg...when u gotta go, u really gotta go and that was it as i embarked on my 2nd trip to the rm2 toilet...the 1st visit was due to the same reason as well. to be honest the whole experience was the same, my so-called rm2 royal bum didnt felt anything special at all though the toilet had lotions, creams and etc for u to apply....to ur hands tht is. something was different though as they had two bottle of perfumes on the counter this time and ahem! being the elegant and sophisticated person that i am...ahahaha...j/k...i sprayed some of the new Hpnosis perfume from Lancome on my wrist and walked out from the toilet staring at the ladies who tried almost everything available on their entire arm. a feeling of lightness and an empty bladder=priceless...hahahahaha!

Ok, I lay down my story..

No Kevin, I won't get laid in my story....

Since I'm not really a blogger kinda gay, I'll just go with what happened recently.

Well, a few weeks ago, i was having some trouble with remember sequences of simple numbers (e.g: phone numbers). Instead of 237, i kept saying 273. For some reason that I didnt know. After taking a dyslexia test, I discovered that I'm slightly dyslexic. So apparently, my dyslexia surfaces when I'm saying similar words like "Black and Back" or number patterns. In fact, I did actually mixed my words up quite badly when talking to Marwick's cute Kevin who came over recently.

Last week, I had an eye infection, AGAIN. It was the same eye (left eye), but it was worse. I was at the gym when the left eye (with contacts on) felt horribly itchy. Even though I know it's not good to rub with the lenses in, I still did it as the itch was unbareable. After my first set, I needed to take a leak. So after nature's call, As I was about to leave the washroom, I just glanced at the mirror to see a horribly red left eye. The entire sclera (white part of the eye) was red with blood capilaries running everywhere. I had to lift up my eye lid to see how bad it was. And, it was even more red inside. I started to panic. This other guy who came to use the washroom was staring at my eyes with a shocked look. So I asked him if it was really red, and he was like "Yes! you better get it treated". So unable to finish my sets, I changed and headed back to college in hopes that Ms Jane had some eye drops. I needed o drive home, so I couldnt remove the contacts now. Jane wasn't in, so I raced home, removed my Biomedic Torric Soft Contact Lens and applied Visine ( a red-away that a doctor gave me the last time). 2 days later all was okay. I'm still on the verge of discovering what is causing this to happen to the same eye every now and then.

Today however, I woke up with a nasty sore throat and flu. My mother gave me a tablet to help the flu go away. The medicine was suppose to make me drowsy, but I'm still awake here, typing.

I guess it's best if I take a short nap to ensure that the medicine works. So I'll try to continue posting, okay Marmite?

Bye! (Cheers!)

Thoughts of a Gamer

I just finished watching My Super Sweet Sixteen and I think its ridiculous that parents actually pay so much as a quarter of a million to half a million just for a birthday party. They book exclusive clubs and buy sports cars or prestigeous ones like a Merce A class or the likes for their birthday presents. Its just very insane.

Anyhow, I havent eaten my dinner yet because I slept through it lol. Today was a day of ultimate dotaing. I just had the craving from morning to play it. And I dont know why but I have this obsession with the Crystal Maiden. I just want to use her but I know she isnt a good hero because she is an int hero. Maybe its the fact that her spells are the nuke-type and I am an agressive type player in dota. Anyway I'm going to play a match with Aw soon seeya.

The Hanged Man

Its been a long while folks, but I am currently addicted to my PS2 and playing it like a madperson.

I not so long ago completed The House of the Dead 3 for the PC and Im sure you know that game since its very popular. The story doesnt differ much from the rest of the games but the gameplay is different. In HOD3 you use a shotgun instead of pistols or sub-machineguns. The downside to this is that the shotguns take very long to reload and have a smaller ammount of bullets every ammunition round. This makes it hard to fight bosses since the damage is not so much different than normal pistols or submachineguns in the other games. The other downside to the machinegun is that every shot you take, the blast area of the shot is very wide. This makes it EXTREMELY hard to get a headshot even if you are right on target. I can truly call myself a pro in getting headshots in whatever lightgun or even controller-based games like Black for the PS2 or Resident Evil: Dead Aim, but I cant seem to get even a single headshot in this game. Headshots are worth more points than normal shots and so its hard also to rack up points in this game due to the shooting system.

This story is about Lisa Rogan, daughter of Thomas Rogan(the character from the 1st game) pairing up with G to fight through hordes of monsters to find Rogan which has gone missing a few weeks ago. The story is explained begining of each chapter with a short cutscene of Dr. Roy Curien, the antagonist of the earlier games, and his son, Daniel Curien. It finally comes to show us that Dr. Roy Curien is finding a cure for his bedridden son so that he can live forever or whatnot. All these things happened before the first game, that is before the Curien Mansion Case. In Dr. Roy Curien's research of all these, he began investigating into the nature of life and death, and finally he went insane. This is how all the madness started from the first game onwards. As a summary, Dr. Roy Curien wanted to purge this world of all its evil(that includes everything), and leave this world clean for the new world to come. This plot has been reused many times in other games too, but it still seems to work anyways. Although Dr. Roy Curien dies at the end of the Curien Mansion Case(HOD1), he lives as a sort of monster(that is the last boss) in this game, and he wants to eliminate everything this time. The story of HOD3 is most current in the series, even placed after HOD4, which happens before HOD3. The story ends with Lisa and G finding Rogan along with the now grown up Daniel Curien, and finally the defeat of the Wheel of Fate by Daniel and Lisa.

The bosses in the House of the Dead series are named after the Major Arcana cards in the Tarot deck. The Major Arcana is composed of characters instead of cards like the 10 of cups or the 5 of swords etc. It is quite unique really, and quite interesting as well, to see how they twisted the forms from the original cards into boss monsters. The final boss, Dr. Roy Curien is named the Wheel of Fate, which is also more widely known as the Wheel of Fortune card in the Major Arcana. Dr. Roy Curien appears as a humanoid silver fully-metallic specimen in the game. He appears to be controlling a ring of metal telepathically and can control electricity. He uses that ring to shield himself and to damage the player(s). He is a formidable adversary indeed and its EXTREMELY hard to defeat him in this game thanks to the super lame shotgun system. There was one boss that kind of looked scary. Its name is The Fool, which also originates from the Major Arcana. This boss looks like a big big BIG sloth-like creature that has LARGE claws. It swings very scaryishly and its extremely hard to aim his weakspot.

True to the meaning of the card, the Wheel of Fate wants to cleanse everything. The meaning this card in a Tarot reading session shows that something new is starting, be it boon or bane and that whoever it is being fortold to should learn from it.

Another interesting boss is The Hanged Man from The House of the Dead 1. It takes the form a humanoid bat. The Hanged Man from the tarot is usually associated with death. This is not true, its only half of the true meaning of it. The Hanged Man signifies that death is coming to a certain something and things will begin anew. I wish to point this out to my friend who is facing a break-up issue that maybe he should look at his break-up from this perspective.

All in all, the game was an interesting one and the bosses are interesting as well. At the end of the game, someone picked up some cannister after the battle between Lisa, Daniel and the Wheel of Fate. This shows that most likely there will be a sequal in terms of storyline, because the story for The House of the Dead 4 is behind The House of the Dead 3. And there is another game completed in the queer life of the person you know and love, Kevin.

The First of The Final

The begining of the 3rd A-level semester began with me climbing up 6 floors to B701B (KBu lifts are very inefficient) to find the classroom dark and locked. After calling Shahir who is in the cafe, I made my way there and we both were wondering why didnt the college give us our schedules for this semester before the previous one had ended. Then we spotted Dwight with the July '06 hectic schedule (in the pic). We had chemistry first at B309. So after reaching there, we saw like a BILLION students in the class. Ms. Jaclyn were nudging us in, after her footsteps came to a halt behind us. So we when in and were bewildered at the size of our Unit4: Periodicity, Quantitative Equilibria and Funtional Groups Chemistry class. I was wondering on how come Jaclyn was willing to take on 50 students from 3 different intakes of A-Level all at once. After chemistry, we went to B701B for Mathematics: Statistics 1. Ms. Kong briefed us on this VERY interesting subject before it was time for biology which was when Sineni walked in fancily late as he always does. Ms. Jane who is our biology lecturer and I had a lot to complain about the new A-Level coordinator, Mr. David York who is also the A-Level Further Mathematics lecturer. This David guy had quite an attitude when I went to take my copy of the schedule. Ms. Jane btw thinks he's a dork ^_^.

After biology, Shahir, Sineni and I went to 1U where Shahir needed to go to the bank. Whilst Sineni and I waited outside RHB, we were discussing about cute guys (Sineni's str8 btw) when this guy in a yellow shirt (see pic) walked pass us. He had an EXTREMELY cute ass! After Shahir was done in the bank, we went to KFC for lunch when my phone displayed "Kevin's Mobile Calling". I answered the call to a groggy "Hello..." and to hear that he couldn't make it for lunch as nobody was home to bring him to 1U. So after ending the call, we finished lunch and went to the arcade. Shahir had to go back to college for his first Further Maths class, so Sineni and I got some tokens and were playing our usual games. I was stunned to be able to score the High Score in Baroque Hoedown in Taiko no Tatsujin5 ( A percussions game). Having had my name written ( in Japanese) with a matter of random character select, Sineni and I left the arcade and went to MPH where the irritating salesman couldn't differentiate the "Engineering" from the "New Age" section. Feeling slightly annoyed, we left MPH and decided to go back. Sineni needed me to drop him home =.= and on the way there, he had so many questions about my car, from its functions to its price and accessories. And I thought he was the car expert. After depositing Sineni, I then headed home.

Through the Looking Glass

An afternoon of a boring Sunday. A day quite typical to me in this period, since I have not yet started classes and havent been to college for the longest time.

Whilst I try to recall the events of yesterday, I do not remember every single detail of it due to my poor memory. I shall still, however tell you what I still remember.

I start off yesterday by opening up my laptop cover and chatting with Janie, who tells me not to be late or she shall not wait for me for lunch :'( Then I went to frolic with the cartoon characters on the TV before getting ready for the day ahead. Today is the day I put on my new cosmetic contact lens. They look quite realistic, really. I then bathe and ask my sister to fetch me to Midvalley Megamall so I can meet Janie, Stephanie and Staney.

They met up with me when I was going through tid-bits at a shop, right in front of Burger King. We then decided to have lunch there, in Burger King. I ordered 2 burgers, and Janie and Stephanie had fun asking me whether I am gonna finish both of it =_=. The conversation moved from how Argentina lost the match the night before, to matters in their college, and to how haunted their DARK ROOM is zzz. After we finished eating, we waited for Staney's brother to show up. We finally met him in front of GSC, but before that we bumped into something very yellow and spongy...

It was SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS. He was standing there and posing with all the doods and doodettes zzz and Janie was askin me why I din bring my camera T.T I forgot to bring it Janie zzz. Since we couldnt take pictures, we advanced to the cinema then got into our cinema 13 to settle down for Superman Returns. The movie wasnt that bad... But it wasnt that great either. The ending was like.. =.=

We left the cinema after the movie left and were rushing to get out because our tickets were already released the moment the movie ended, and we had to get to the counter fast to get our booked tickets or someone would buy it. Luckily, we came just in time, and we could get our tickets. Staney and her brother waved goodbye while we tried out the LOVE MACHINE. OMG its SO FAKE... I got.. the 2nd lowest that is OLD FASHIONED. Stephie and Janie got Sensual.. HELO WTF!

We went to the restroom after that and the movie was about to start in 10mins and we had to get water, but the lines at the GSC snacks counter and Watsons were super long, so we went to the foodcourt. We finally got our water and we went in to see Stay Alive.

Stay Alive is a horror movie about a group of people that are dying the same way they die in an online game called Stay Alive. Its related to the legendary Elizabeth Bathory that slayed young virgin females to bathe in their blood for her to be eternally young. While the movie stays true to the roots of the legends, some of the finer points were wrong. But I suppose that actually had to change it for the menarikness of the movie. It turned out to be okay, but not really scary. The scream Elizabeth gave at the end of the movie made her mouth look really demonic... =.=

After coming out, we headed to dinner. We couldnt decide where so we tried scavenging the boulevard for places to eat. We finally ate at some chinese MEE SHOP. I ordered fried hor fun with chicken and black pepper sauce. Janie ordered NGAU LAM MIEN and Step ordered some raw egg mee. While there we were discussing about how EFFEMINATE KOREAN MALE CELEBRITIES are becoming nowadays. Personally though, I feel that this is also true for Japanese and Taiwanaese male stars today.

After dinner, we went to get ice-cream from Baskin Robins. I had some almond with fudge lace ice cream, which was very old school, but it tasted nice. Janie had some nut ice cream too, and I forgot what Stephanie bought haha.

It turned out we had nothing else to do, so we headed to the monorail. After sayin our goodbyes, I waited for my parents to fetch me, and went back home. I messaged Marwick on my computer and he said he was goin out to watch football, so because I had nothing else to do, I went to sleep.

And that is another day in the life of the queer, Kevin.

Hair: An Overview

What Exactly Is Hair?

Hair consists of the shaft, protruding above the skin, and the root, which is sunk in a follicle, or pit, beneath the skin surface. Except for a few growing cells at the base of the root, the hair is dead tissue and is composed of keratin and related proteins. The hair follicle is a tubelike pocket of the epidermis, that encloses a small section of the dermis at its base. Human hair is formed by rapid divisions of cells at the base of the follicle. As the cells are pushed upward from the follicle's base, they harden and undergo pigmentation. The bundles of keratin in hair is connected through disulphide bonds. These bonds are strong and are responsible for the shaft's shape. The more linkages there are, the flatter the shaft which results in a curl of the shaft. The lesser bonds there are, the more circular the shape of the shaft which is seen in straight hair. Hydroden bonds (H-bond) in the hair are formed from the moisture in the air. These bonds have the ability to give the hair a temporary set when hair is managed with a dryer. These bonds are responsible for the hair's elasticity and they are broken when hair is in contact with water.

The hair on our scalps and in our eyebrows and eyelashes are different from other bodily hairs. The hair on our heads grows a healthy 0.5 inch per month, and long scalp hairs have an average life of 3 to 5 years. Most of us have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on our heads! Lol!
There are two kinds of melanin found in the hair: eumelanin (the most common and responsible for hair shades from brown to black) and phaeomelanin (responsible for yellowish-blond, ginger and red colors). Absence of pigment produces white/gray hair.
